Abstract
This collection, titled
"The Flower of Intimacy," is authored by Dr. Muhammad Mansur Jibril,
a lecturer in the Department of Arabic Language at Bayero University in Kano,
Nigeria. It contains sixty-five poems composed of a total of one thousand two
hundred and thirty-four (1,234) verses. Covering a range of subjects. Most of
these poems reflect the poet's journeys both within Nigeria and abroad. The
themes explored in this collection include educational poetry, divine love,
pride, satire, praise, love, social interactions, and elegy. The poet employs
various rhetorical devices such as similes, metaphors, metonymy, along with
other strategies that enhance the art of speech. This prompted researchers to
conduct a literary analytical study of the collection to uncover its artistic
values and the poet's creativity, aiming to elevate this unique Nigerian
literary figure from a regional to a global platform. The structure of the
study includes the following elements: a brief overview of the author's life,
an exploration of the emotional values in the collection, the imaginative
values presented, the stylistic features, the musical qualities, a conclusion,
and a list of sources and references
