Abstract: This work explores the ethical
integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Islamic education, proposing a
framework to promote critical thinking in Nigerian tertiary institutions. It
examines how AI technologies like chatbots, adaptive learning systems, and data
analytics can personalize instruction and enrich educational delivery. By
grounding AI implementation in Islamic ethical principles, the framework aims
to balance technological advancement with spiritual and moral growth. Key
challenges include teacher readiness, digital divide, theological concerns, and
algorithmic bias. The proposed framework centered on Islamic epistemology and
pedagogical strategies to guide ethical AI adoption.
